ABOUT THE COMPANY

My client is a general contractor performing public work within the heavy civil industry in the New York metropolitan area. They have experience working in all five boroughs of NYC and Nassau and Suffolk counties on Long Island. They strive for excellence and utilize their years of experience to complete complex and vital projects that help the lives of those in the surrounding communities. The type of work that they do includes design & build, mass transit, and institutional. The types of clients that they deal with include MTA, LIRR, and NYCT. The size of the projects can range anywhere from $25M – $400M.

ABOUT THE ROLE

My client is looking for a Quality Manager to work on NYC Transit projects. The projects you will be working on will involve work such as concrete platforms, new elevator installations, new stairwells, utility upgrades, extensive structural and architectural modifications, and structural, steel, and concrete improvements. The projects you will be working on will range in value from $25M – $400M, the projects will include self-performing aspects as well as subcontract management.

The role will involve: 

  • The Quality Manager will be responsible for managing and performing the daily QC responsibilities of specific projects to ensure the project is constructed by the established minimum standards.
  • The QM role includes direct oversight and review of the entire documentation and physical inspection phase of the workflow process and working with other in-house personnel and external personnel to produce and document a quality product and project.
  • Prepare the Contractor Quality Programs and Quality Work Plans.
  • Report to executive management on the performance of the Quality system and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Establish and implement a quality system to maintain and improve quality standards.

REQUIREMENTS

You must have experience working as a Quality Manager for a General Contractor on MTA Projects. I am looking for someone who also holds good job stability throughout their resume.
